FIELD OF APPLICATION/OF OPERATION
• Use the appliance for domestic purposes only and in the way indicated in these
instructions.
• This appliance is intended to be used for domestic applications and similar
applications such as :
Kitchen corners reserved for personnel in shops, offices and other professional

environments.
Farms.
o
The use by clients of hotels, motels and other environments with a residential
o
character.
Environments of the "bed and breakfast" type.
o
BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION
For the perfect taste, operate the jug kettle with fresh water in order to clean any residue
left from the manufacturing process. When the appliance has cooled down, repeat the
process 3 times with fresh water, before rinsing.
OPERATION
•
Always remove the jug from the power base before filling it.
•
Raise the lid and fill the tank with fresh water paying attention not to fill under the
"MIN" mark and above the "MAX" mark in the kettle. You can see the level thanks to
the transparent water level indicator.
•
Close the lid by pressing it down until you hear a click. Make sure it closes correctly.
•
Put the jug onto the power base, plug into the wall socket and switch on. The pilot light
will come on. If it does not come on, check if the jug kettle is placed correctly on its
base. If the problem persists, contact the nearest customer service.
•
The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water is boiling. However, you can
switch it off anytime by pressing the on/off switch.
•
For instant reboiling, wait until the water has cooled down and switch on the
appliance again.
SAFETY CUT-OUT
•
This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device which switches the
appliance off if it is accidentally switched on without water.
•
In this case, put the switch in off position and wait about 10 minutes for the element
to cool. Then fill the jug kettle with cold water. This will reset the safety device.
•
The kettle may then be used as normal.
•
