Use and Care
• The CrystalWave Hot Food On The Go is designed for reheating food in the microwave,
not for cooking.
• Reheat cooked foods from the refrigerator or room temperature but not from the freezer.
• Fill the product to a maximum of 1 cm below the lowest part of the seal.
• Crystalwave products are safe for food temperatures from 0°C up to 120°C.
• Reheating should be done at medium power (max. 600W) during a limited time.
• If reheating in the microwave for more than 3 minutes, stop occasionally, remove the seal and stir the
food to ensure even reheating.
• Always remove the cutlery from the seal before placing the sealed bowl in the microwave (A).
• Before closing the seal, make sure the handles of the seal are perfectly aligned with the handles of
the base (B).
• The venting system on the seal releases steam while reheating. Ensure that the vent is always in the
open position when reheating food.
• Before placing the sealed bowl in the microwave, press in the centre of the vent to open it in order to
prevent steam from building up (C).
• Do not reheat foods unattended.
• Ensure that the seal is placed back on the container after stirring the food.
• The seal will prevent splashing in the microwave.
• After reheating, lift the product from the microwave with both hands and allow it to rest on the worktop
for a few minutes so that the temperature may distribute evenly.
• It is best to wear oven gloves when removing the container from the microwave.
• To open the seal, push down the handles while holding both handles of the bowl. Always push down
first on one side, then on the other side (D).
• Always lift off the seal away from you so that the hot steam is directed away from you.
• Reheating food with spices or coloured food, such as curry or tomatoes, could cause staining,
but this will not affect the performance of the product. Staining is not covered by the Tupperware
guarantee.
• Allow the food to cool down first before applying the seal to refrigerate or transport.
• Ensure that the steam vent is closed when transporting the product.
• When it is filled with food, always transport the CrystalWave Hot Food On The Go in an upright
position. Do not transport hot food in your container.
• When positioning the cutlery onto the seal, respect the following order (E):
• Tablespoon alone on the left, with the concave side facing the blade of the knife.
• Knife and fork clicked together.
• Knife in the middle, with the serration facing down.
• Fork on the right of the knife, with the tines facing the blade of the knife.
• The cover is not intended to be used as a base.
• Always refer to the instruction booklet of your microwave manufacturer for appropriate product usage.
If you have a turntable plate, make sure the Hot Food On The Go fits on it and the turntable plate
rotates.
• Basic use instructions are engraved in the inside of the cover.
Cleaning guidelines
• Always wash your new product before first use.
• The valve can be removed for cleaning.
• If any foods stick, leave the product to soak briefly in warm soapy water.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning pads or abrasive cleaners, as these will scratch the product.
