Principle
The "Service" IR remote control can be
used by service personnel whenever ne-
cessary to select, start and end one of the
two test mode types, calibrate light-level
measurement and change several detect-
or parameters without using the ETS.
Parameters changed by IR remote control
are then automatically sent by bus and
can also be read on the bus at any time if
this function is enabled by means of the
relevant ETS setting.
Note: To start a test mode or change a
parameter with the IR remote control, the
detector's service mode must always be
switched 'ON' by IR remote control fi rst.
Any reception of an IR signal is acknowl-
edged by the blue LED fl ashing in the de-
tector.
The LED fl ashes for approx. 2 s if the de-
tector evaluates a value entered as being
permissible and adopts it. If the value en-
tered is incorrect, the LED fl ashes rapidly
for approx. 2 s. The value entered is re-
jected and the input process must be
completely repeated.
On accidentally entering more than four
digits, the relevant button (e.g. Set Lux)
must be pressed again and the value then

the blue LED fl ashes for approx. 2 s on
the detector. Pressing the button for sev-
eral moments ensures that any brief actu-
ation of this button does not immediately
result in the service mode being activat-
ed. The detector only evaluates further IR
signals received if the service mode is
switched 'ON'. This ensures that any
inadvertent actuation of a button on the
remote control does not immediately
result in a parameter change.

4
Lighting control stay-'ON' time,

Number pad/"OK"
Press " " button for approx. > 2 s until
the blue LED fl ashes for approx. 2 s on
the detector. If this is not done, service
mode is automatically terminated by the
detector if it receives no further IR signal
within 10 minutes of receiving the last
one.
Note:
Terminating the service mode does not
terminate any detector test mode
activated.

Light level
Whenever possible, light-level measure-
ment should be calibrated with daylight
shut out, i.e. ideally when it is dark, how-
ever at least with roller shutters or blinds
down. The lighting must be switched 'ON'
completely or dimmed up to max. output.
Below the presence detector, stand a
table with a surface providing a level of
refl ection equivalent to that of the later
work surface. Using a calibrated luxmeter,
measure the light intensity on this table,
wherever possible directly below the
presence detector. The lux level measured
must then be sent to the detector by
remote control. If the lux level measured
is outside the detector's light-level meas-
uring range of 10 to 1500 lux, lighting
must be dimmed down until the lux level
measured falls within the measurement
range.

Sensor sensitivity (HF)
The HF-detector's sensitivity can either
be set to "High" or "Low". "High sensitiv-
ity" responds to any movement detected.
"Low sensitivity" only responds after de-
tecting several movements.

Transmitting lux level
To transmit the measured lux level to the
detector, press "Cal. Lux", enter the
measured lux level on the number pad,
pressing "OK" to confi rm.
Note:
After entering the last digit, wait for ap-
prox. 5 seconds before pressing the "OK"
button.
Brightness setting
The setting for controlling light level can
be adjusted within a range of 10 to 1000
lux.
- Briefl y press "Set Lux" button, enter lux
level on the key pad, pressing "OK" to
confi rm.
Teach-in
The "
" button must be pressed at the
level of light at which you want the
detector to respond to movement from
now on. The current twilight value is
saved.
