4. When lubricating tuning slides, apply slide
grease using the following procedure:
Step 1.
Depress the valves or rotor lever while pulling out
the tuning slide.
Step 2.
Remove excess moisture from the tuning slides
and wipe the lubricated areas clean with a soft
cloth.
Step 3.
Apply a small amount of slide grease to each
slide assembly and reassemble.
5. Each tuning slide should be cleaned and
lubricated on a regular basis.
6. After lubrication, if the valves do not work
smoothly, carefully remove and inspect each
valve for dirt and residue. Also, examine the
valve and valve casing for possible dents.
7. Use the included cloth to remove fingerprints
and protect the finish.
