Extensions for LED Strip Sets
The flexible LED strips are equipped with bright RGB LEDs type
SMD 5050 and serve as extensions for LED strip sets. The LED
strips require an operating voltage of 12 V direct current, supplied
by the power unit of the sets. This product is waterproof (IP 68) and
therefore qualified for indoor and outdoor use.
Connection
The extensions can be inserted at any position in the
installation chain using the connectors. Always make sure
that the arrows on the connectors point to each other.
The LED strips can be cut at the
"
marks. As a result the
connection wires must be soldered anew. Assign this task to a
skilled professional.
For extensions or custom-made versions, please be aware
that the power supply unit of the sets can only be loaded with
48 watts maximum. Thus the maximum length of LED strips
that can be connected to one control unit is limited to 11
meters. Only then all LEDs show the same brightness and the
current-carrying cables of the LED strip set are not
overloaded.
