current safety regulations to prevent life-threatening accidents.

The installation of this light fitting should only be performed
by someone with a good knowledge of electrical wiring.

If in doubt, contact a qualified electrician.

Follow the instructions carefully and keep them for future
reference.
•
The light must be mounted with the top cap uppermost.

Installation
Note: The wall plate has an arrow on it which should point
upwards when the plate is mounted.
Warning: Always turn the power
off at the distribution box before
installation (main power switch/
circuit breaker set to OFF, or
fuse completely disconnected).
1. Remove the cap nuts (6) at the front of the light and take
the wall plate (9) off the back of the light. Keep the cap
nuts (6) and mounting bolts (5) close to hand.
Twist the lamp housing (2) a little and remove it.
2. Note: The light can either be mounted standing above
the bracket or hanging below it. At this stage you must
decide which way it is to be mounted.

3. Make a small hole (for the power supply cable) in the rub-
ber wall plate gasket and small holes in the wall plate for

the screws needed to attach the plate to the wall.
4. Pass the incoming power supply cable through

the rubber gasket.
5. Depending on the type of wall you have, you can either
screw the wall plate directly to the wall or mark out where
the mounting holes need to be, drill and insert wall plugs.
6. Push the mounting bolts (5) through the wall
plate from the back before screwing it to the wall.
Note: The gasket (7) should be used to make a seal
between the wall plate and the bracket (3).

7. Connect the power lead to
the terminal block as shown below.

8. Hold the bracket (3) against the wall plate and fasten it
using two cap nuts on the front.
9. Fit the lamp housing onto the bracket.
10. Remove the top cap (1) by undoing the cap nuts.
11. Screw in a light bulb (max 60 W, E27) (sold separately).
12. Refit the top cap and the finial (4), and then switch
the main power back on.
