Step 3: Getting
With the power to all devices turned off,
(EN)
make all power, audio, and speaker
started
connections.
Engage the +48 V switch
if you are using condenser
microphones or powered
direct boxes.
Select the appropriate speaker output
configuration with the POWER AMP A/B
selector switch.
The EUROPOWER PMP580S has two power amp
operating modes. In MAIN L/MAIN R mode the
PMP580S functions as a stereo amplifier. In this
mode left and right stereo signals are sent to
OUTPUT A (L) and OUTPUT B (R). In MON/MONO
mode it functions as a dual mono amplifier. In this
mode the MONITOR signal is sent to OUTPUT A and
the MAIN signal is sent to OUTPUT B.
With both the MAIN LEVEL and MONITOR
LEVEL knobs turned all the way down,
turn the mixer on.
Turn the MAIN LEVEL knob about half
way up and then adjust the volume of
connected audio sources via each
channel's LEVEL knob.
Adjust the
desired left
/ right stereo
position of each channel
with the PAN knobs.
Turn the MONITOR LEVEL knob about half
way up. Use each channel's MON knobs to
adjust the amount of the channel present
in the monitor speaker(s).
Adjust the MAIN LEVEL and MONITOR
LEVEL knobs to set the overall output
volumes. The MAIN LEVEL METER and
MONITOR LEVEL METER will indicate the output
volume and whether or not the signal is clipping.
If the red LIM LEDs on the MAIN LEVEL METER
or the MONITOR LEVEL METER illuminate, turn the
corresponding LEVEL knob down until the red LED
goes off.
The PMP580S has a built-in effects
processor. Follow these steps to add
an effect to one or more channels.
• Turn the FX 1 knob up half way on each channel
that the effect will be applied.
• Press the FX button to engage the
Multi-FX processor.
• Turn the FX RETURN knob in the MAIN section up
half way. To hear the effects in the monitor, turn
the FX RETURN knob in the MONITOR section up
half way.
• Scroll through the FX presents using the FX
selector knob, when the desired preset number is
designated in the FX PROGRAM display, press the
FX selector knob to engage the preset.
• Use the TAP tempo button to adjust the tempo of
time-based effects.
• Readjust each channel's FX 1 knob to increase
or decrease the amount of effect applied to the
connected input source. If the METER on the
FX PROGRAM display reaches the red CLIP LED,
turn the channel FX 1 knobs down.
If feedback occurs at the MAIN or
MONITOR outputs, engage FBQ
FEEDBACK DETECTION.
• Press the EQ and FBQ FEEDBACK DETECTION
buttons to engage the feedback detection system.
• An LED will illuminated on the EQ slider that
corresponds with the feedback frequency.
• Lower the illuminated EQ slider until the
feedback stops.

El EUROPOWER PMP580S tiene dos modos operativos
de la etapa de potencia. En el modo MAIN L/MAIN R,
el PMP580S actúa como un amplificador stereo. En

enviadas a las salidas OUTPUT A (L) y OUTPUT B (R).
En el modo MON/MONO, esta unidad se comporta
como un amplificador mono dual. En este modo, la
señal MONITOR es enviada a la salida OUTPUT A y la
señal principal o MAIN es enviada a OUTPUT B.
Con los mandos MAIN LEVEL y MONITOR
LEVEL al mínimo, encienda esta unidad.
Gire el mando MAIN LEVEL hacia la
derecha por encima de su punto medio y
ajuste después el volumen de las fuentes
audio conectadas a través del mando LEVEL de cada
uno de los canales.
Ajuste la
posición stereo
izquierda /
derecha que quiera para
cada canal con los
mandos PAN.
Suba el mando MONITOR LEVEL por
encima de su punto medio. Use los
mandos MON de cada canal para ajustar la
cantidad de señal del canal presente en los monitores.
Ajuste la posición de los mandos MAIN
LEVEL y MONITOR LEVEL para fijar los
volúmenes de salida finales. Los
medidores MAIN LEVEL METER y MONITOR LEVEL
METER le indicarán el volumen de salida y si la señal
está saturando o no. Si los pilotos LIM rojos de estos
medidores se iluminan, reduzca la posición del
mando LEVEL correspondiente hasta que esos pilotos
se apaguen.
El PMP580S dispone de un procesador de
efectos interno. Siga estos pasos para
añadir un efecto a uno o más canales.
• Gire el mando FX 1 por encima de su punto medio
en cada uno de los canales en los que vaya a
aplicar el efecto.
• Pulse el botón FX para activar el procesador
multiefectos.
• Gire el mando FX RETURN de la sección MAIN más
o menos a la mitad. Para escuchar los efectos en la
señal de monitor, gire el mando FX RETURN de la
sección MONITOR más o menos igual.
• Desplácese por los presets de efectos usando el
selector FX y cuando el número de preset que
quiera aparezca en la pantalla FX PROGRAM, pulse
el selector FX para activar dicho preset.
• Use el botón TAP tempo para ajustar el tempo de
los efectos con temporización rítmica.
• Reajuste el mando FX 1 de cada canal para
aumentar o reducir la cantidad de efectos
aplicada a la fuente de entrada de dicho canal.
Si el medidor de la pantalla FX PROGRAM llega al
punto en que se ilumina el piloto CLIP, reduzca la
posición de los mandos FX 1.
Si se produce realimentación en las
salidas MAIN o MONITOR, active el
sistema FBQ FEEDBACK DETECTION.
• Pulse los botones EQ y FBQ FEEDBACK DETECTION
para activar el sistema de detección de
realimentación.
• Se iluminará un piloto en el mando deslizante del
EQ que se corresponda con la frecuencia que está
produciendo la realimentación.
• Reduzca la posición del mando deslizante del
EQ iluminado hasta que la realimentación
desaparezca.
