How to Configure WLAN
The print server may become a wireless device when a specific WLAN module
is plugged into the corresponding port. The print server can then be operated
wireless in the network. During the first setup, the print server is embedded
into your WLAN network using a wired ethernet connection, first. After the
wireless settings have been made simply restart the device and remove the
ethernet cable. The device will automatically switch to wireless mode
operation.
Ethernet has always priority and a plugged cable with a valid link will cause
wireless mode to be suspended in favour for the wired connection.
Make sure that:
The WLAN module is plugged in and running
The Smart Product Manager is installed and running;
Proceed as follows:
1. Select the print server in the device list.
The user interface of the print server home page appears on the right side of
the Smart Product Manager.
2. Click Configuration - Wireless.
The Wireless dialog appears.
3. Configure the WLAN.
For more information, refer to the print server's user manual.
4. Click Save to confirm.
The settings are saved.
