Operation
1. Insert the mains plug into an approved socket.
2. Open the water tank lid.
3. Fill cold water into the water tank.
CAUTION:
Do not overfill the water tank! Do not fill beyond the
MAX mark.
4. Push the water spout to the side to be able to remove
the filter.
5. Pull out the permanent filter.
6. Do not fill the permanent filter with more than 4 g of cof-
fee powder, otherwise there is a risk of overflowing.
WARNING:
• Always pull the mains plug out of the socket before cleaning
and maintain until the appliance has cooled down.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water. It could cause an elec-
tric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
• Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners.
• Clean the outside of the appliance with a slightly damp
cloth if necessary - without any additives.
• Use a paper towel to remove any coffee grounds that
may have spilled into the inner housing. Wipe with a
damp cloth.
• Clean the cup, cup holder and permanent filter in the
usual way in warm rinse water with a little hand dish-
washing liquid. Replace the cup holder after cleaning.
Storage
• Clean the appliance as described. Allow the accessories
to dry completely.
• We recommend storing the appliance in its original
packaging if you do not intend to use it for a longer
period of time.
• Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in
a well-ventilated and dry place.

7. Put the permanent filter back in. Slide the water spout
back over the filter.
8. Place the cup on the storage surface and close the lid of
the water tank.
9. Press the ON button. When the operation indicator lights
up, the brewing process starts. The brewing process
takes about 3 – 4 minutes.
- The appliance switches off automatically approx.
15 seconds after the end of brewing. The operating
control light goes out.
- You can also interrupt the brewing process at any time
by pressing the OFF button.
- The appliance can only be switched on again after it
has cooled down for about 1 minute.
Cleaning
De-scaling becomes necessary when the preparation time
increases significantly.
• Only use commercially available citric acid-based
de-scaling agents for de-scaling.
• Dose as indicated on the packaging or instruction leaflet.
• Place the cup or another suitable container on the cup
holder.
WARNING:
• Then boil fresh water 3 – 4 times to rinse out any resi-
due of the de-scaling agent.
• Do not use coffee powder!
• Do not use this water as drinking water.
