Please note before installing

Please prominently att ach the included yellow warning sti cker (3) in the engine compartment (e.g. on the air fi lter
housing). Att ach the batt ery change reminder sti cker (4) in a prominent place (e.g. in the vehicle's service book).

The unit is largely maintenance-free. Prolonged use may lead to contaminati on of the contact plates, which can
cause the high voltage to break down (functi on control LED shuts off ).
Correcti ve
measure: Open the slide contact (the device will turn itself off ), wait approx. 3–5 minutes, then clean/
reatt ach the plates (using cable ti es) and close the slide contact again. Carefully check that the contact plates (2)
are correctly installed in order to avoid a short circuit, for example due to current leakage or the upper plus plate
coming into contact with an earthed part.

Once the device is switched on, it takes several seconds before ultrasound is emitt ed. As soon as ultrasound is
being emitt ed, the green functi on control LED will begin to blink. When the device is operated for the fi rst ti me,
the green functi on control LED should begin to blink green within no more than 1 minute.
