About performance

To achieve a framerate as high as possible within Microsoft Flight
Simulator X, please note the following:
Your maximum visibility should be 10-20 miles (see weather settings).
This accelerates the framerate and it is more realistic.
You can even turn down the scenery complexity from "Extremely
Dense" to "Dense", to "Normal" or to "Very sparse" in order to
improve the framerates of Flight Simulator a little bit more.
This may result in some scenery elements not appearing on the screen.
The reason it has been done is because most PC systems will be able
to achieve an optimum speed. We recommend you to use this function.
If you upgrade to a faster processor you can change the scenery com-
plexity accordingly. If you have a need for better performance set the
Autogen to sparse or normal and AI to 3-40%. If you think that this
could improve the performance even more.
Important if you want everything to show up on the screen you have
to set the scenery slider to extremely dense.
