Maintenance.

The waste outlet in the bottom corner of the filter (2) can be used to purge out the sediment
or heavier waste particles. You can connect a slide valve or ball valve to this outlet.
Installing the fleece roll.
Disconnect the control unit power cord from the mains whenever replacing the membrane
roll. You can drain the filter by releasing the water through the waste outlet (2). In order to
remove the dirty roll you have to take out the stainless steel screw (6) from the filter house.
Now, the complete roll can be taken out of the filter unit. Remove the dirty roll from the PVC
drive pipe (7). To install a new fleece roll you have to remove the stock roll (8) from its
position and also remove the PVC disc. The empty cardboard tube can now be removed and
replaced with a new fleece roll. Finally put the PVC disc back on the stock pipe until it
touches the fleece roll. You must ensure the roll dispenses in the right direction (see figure).
Attach the leading edge of the fleece membrane to the bio-drum and turn the drum in the
direction of the arrows as in the illustration. When the fleece comes up on the other side you
can put it in the slotted part of the drive pipe. Put the new stock roll back into the filter unit
and push the red button to turn the drum until the roll is tightly fitted on the drive pipe.
