1 Applications
This wireless desk microphone has especially been
designed for constructing a wireless audio transmis-
sion system in connection with the following receivers
by "MONACOR" and "img Stage Line":
PA-1200TXS
TXS-220H, TXS-220HD
TXS-240H, TXS-240HD
Furthermore, it can be combined with all other receiv-
ers which operate at the same transmission frequency
(refer to the specifications).

2 Safety Notes

The wireless microphone and the plug-in power supply
correspond to the directive for electromagnetic com-
patibility 89/336/EEC. The plug-in power supply addi-
tionally corresponds to the low voltage directive
73/23/EEC.
The power supply unit uses lethal mains voltage
(230 V~). In order to prevent a shock hazard, do not
open it. Leave servicing to authorized, skilled per-
sonnel only. Furthermore, any guarantee claim ex-
pires if the power supply unit has been opened.
For operation it is necessary to observe in any case
the following items:
The microphone and the plug-in power supply are
only suitable for use in dry rooms. Protect them
against humidity and heat (admissible operating
temperature range 0 – 40 °C).
Even if the microphone is switched off, the plug-in
power supply has a low power consumption.
Do not set the microphone into operation, and imme-
diately disconnect the plug-in power supply from the
mains socket if:
1. damage at the microphone or plug-in power sup-
ply can be seen,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or simi-
lar accident,
3. there are malfunctions.
The microphone or the plug-in power supply must in
any case be repaired by authorized personnel.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth. Do no use any
chemicals or water.
If the microphone and the plug-in power supply is
used for purposes other than originally intended, if it
is operated in the wrong way or not repaired by
authorized, skilled personnel, there is no liability for
possible damage.
If the microphone or the plug-in power supply are to
be put out of operation definitively, they must be dis-
posed of in a local recycling plant.

3 Compulsory Registration
The microphone corresponds to the valid directives of
the Federal Republic of Germany. With the purchase
you have acquired the general approval of the RegTP
(regulation authority for telecommunication and post).
The approval number is A 130 654J RF.
In spite of this you are obliged to apply for a fre-
quency allotment at the relevant external RegTP
branch in the region where the product will be used.
The general approval does not entitle the user to oper-
ate the unit without frequency allotment. If several
transmission channels are used, a frequency allotment
must be applied for each channel. An application for
frequency allotment can be found on pages 9 and 10.
The addresses of the external offices are indicated on
page 8 and the map on page 11 shows the competent
external offices. If the compulsory registration is not
observed, the admission order of telecommunication is
violated.
In other countries a corresponding approval must
be applied for. Consult your retailer or your
MONACOR subsidiary.

4 Setting into Operation

4.1 Power supply via a battery
1) Open the microphone housing by removing the four
screws at the bottom side.
2) Insert a 9 V battery into the battery support.
Observe the correct polarity, i.e. insert the battery in
such a way that the battery contacts can be plugged
into the connection contacts.
3) Close the housing again.
4) If the unit is not used for a longer period of time
(e. g. more than one week), the battery should be
removed. Thus, the microphone will remain un-
damaged in case the battery should leak.
4.2 Power supply via the supplied plug-in
power supply unit
For frequent operation the power supply via the sup-
plied 12 V plug-in power supply unit is recommended.
Connect the 6.3 mm plug of the power supply unit to
the 6.3 mm jack at the rear side of the microphone and
the plug-in power supply unit to a mains socket
(230 V~/50 Hz).
4.3 Connection by cable
If a wireless audio transmission is not necessary, the
microphone can also directly be connected to a micro-
phone input of a mixer or amplifier. Connect the
6.3 mm jack of the microphone at the rear side of the
housing via a cable to the corresponding input. A
power supply for the microphone is not necessary in
this case.
