Inserting the Batteries
The laser spirit level requires two AAA 1.5 V batteries.
The battery compartment (3) is located below the ON/OFF switches. Slide
down the cover to open the compartment. Please observe correct polarity.
Turning the Laser ON and OFF
The laser spirit level is equipped with two lasers. The upper laser (6) projects a
vertical line; the lower laser projects either a dot (9) or a horizontal line (7).
1. To turn on the upper laser (6), press the switch (1).
2. To turn on the lower laser (9/7), press the switch (2). To switch between
line and dot on the lower laser, push the slider (8) up or down.
Depending on the position the laser either just forms a dot or a lens which
forms a line is used.
3. To use the cross laser both switches must be ON and the slider (8) must
be in the upper position.
Using the Laser Spirit Level
The laser spirit level can be used for levelling like any other spirit level. The
level is equipped with a vertical and a horizontal vial.
You can use the tripod and the rotating base to throw vertical or horizontal
lines onto walls.
1. Mount the rotating base onto the tripod and set up the tripod in the desired
spot.
2. Clamp the spirit level to the base with the clamping screw (10).
The next steps depend on the task the spirit level is to be used for. If you
intend to lay tiles or screed, you need a level line on all walls of one or
several rooms. Before laying screed a mark must be applied to the wall at
a defined height (e.g. 1 m) over the finished flooring.
3. Aim at this point with the laser dot (9). Use the crank on the tripod to
adjust the height. The next step is to adjust the laser level horizontally. For
this you can use the levelling screws (5) on the rotating base.
4. Adjust the level horizontally and turn the level 45° left or right. Adjust the
level again and repeat the procedure until the level is horizontal in every
direction.
