Proceed as follows when assembling
etary gearboxes of size
1. Clamp the EC motor carefully into a
bench vise.
2. Screw the planetary gearbox manually
to the connection of the EC motor.
3. Tighten the planetary gearbox to the tor-
que according to tab. 6 on page 56
using a suitable fork wrench.
Lubricate the mechanical inter-
faces of the external square and the
internal square using a suitable
lubricant before continuing with the
assembly. This prevents the forma-
tion of fretting.
4. Screw the measurement transducer or
the adapter manually to the respective
connection of the planetary gearbox.
Make sure that the square engages
first, before the thread.
5. Tighten the measurement transducer or
the adapter to the torque according to
tab. 7 on page 56 using a suitable fork
wrench.
When tightening the measurement
transducer/adapter, the planetary
gearbox has to be held firmly. How-
ever, the motor should not be held
(firmly) as this could lead to the
loosening of the connection
between the planetary gearbox and
motor.

to the connection of the EC motor.
3. Tighten the planetary gearbox to the tor-
que according to tab. 6 on page 56
using a suitable fork wrench.

4. Plug the measurement transducer or
the adapter into the housing of the pla-
netary gearbox (mating teeth), establis-
hing a flush connection.
Ensure that the mating teeth
engage correctly and planetary
gearbox and measurement trans-
ducer/adapter are firmly teethed.
5. Tighten the union nut of the measure-
ment transducer/adapter to the torque
according to tab. 7 on page 56 using a
suitable hook wrench.
When tightening the measurement
transducer/adapter, the planetary
gearbox has to be held firmly. How-
ever, the motor should not be held
(firmly) as this could lead to the
loosening of the connection
between the planetary gearbox and
motor.
