Cause
Insufficient fuel
Fuel type does not match or old fuel was
filled
Fuel filter is blocked
Battery is dead.
Start motor does not work (electric start)  Check the wiring.
Fuel system fault (partial blockage of fuel
filter and piping, insufficient fuel)
Air filter blocked
Fuel type does not match or old fuel was
filled
Insufficient air

Technical data

Remedy
 Refill the tank.
 Add new fuel of the specified type.
 Replace the fuel filter.
For the location and replacement of the fu-
el filter, see Chapter " Care and mainte-
nance".
 Start the appliance manually.
 Charge the battery before starting the en-
gine.
 Check the lines, switches and filters.
 Replace damaged elements if necessary.
 Check and clean the air filter.
 Add new fuel of the specified type.
 Clean the air filter element.
