Copying functions

You can copy the contents of a DVD to a VHS cassette or vice versa. In this way, you can make video
recordings for someone who does not possess a DVD player or you can make them in order to archive the
contents of VHS cassettes to a DVD.
Media which are copy-protected cannot be copied. It is prohibited to reproduce copy-protected
contents.

Copying from DVD to a VHS cassette

 Insert the DVD that you wish to copy.
 Insert a blank video tape.
 Using the PLAY/PAUSE buttons and  or , find the place you wish to copy on the DVD. Then press
STOP.
 Press the VCR<DVD button on the front of the device.
 In the following menu, use the up and down arrow keys  or  to select the SP or LP recording mode.
 Press ENTER on the remote control or press VCR<DVD on the device to begin copying.
 The DVD picture is played back for monitoring. If the recording has been completed, press STOP.
Advanced editing
You can temporarily pause the recording using PLAY/PAUSE and wind the DVD to another place, using 
or or you can select another chapter using or . You can change the recording mode with the
VCR<DVD button. To continue recording, press VCR<DVD again.

Copying from a VHS cassette to a DVD

 Insert the VHS cassette which you wish to copy.
 Insert a blank DVD±R or ±RW.
 Using the PLAY/PAUSE buttons and  or , find the place you wish to copy on the cassette. Then
press STOP.
 Press the VCR>DVD button on the front of the device.
 In the following menu, use the up and down arrow keys  or  to select the HQ (high quality), SP, EP
or SEP (long recording time) recording mode.
 Press ENTER on the remote control or press VCR>DVD on the device to begin copying.
 The video cassette picture is played back for monitoring. If the recording has been completed, press
STOP.
Advanced editing
You can temporarily pause the recording with PLAY/PAUSE and wind the VHS cassette to another place
with  or  . To continue recording, press VCR>DVD again.
