Before first Use

Make sure that both cars are parked at a close distance
so that the plugs can be easily plugged into the sockets.
Shift the gear shaft lever to idle running position resp. in
the position N or P.

Using

1. Switch the toggle switch (F) for the jumper quick start
to „TEST".
2. Insert the plug (A) firmly, but without using force, into
the cigarette lighter socket in the donor car and the
plug (C) into the cigarette lighter socket of the recep-
tor car.
3. Switch off all power consuming units in the receptor
car, such as lights, radio, air-conditioning heaters etc.
Close the door or switch off the interior light.
4. Turn the ignition key of the receptor car to the position
1 (ACC). Attention: Do not start the engine and do
not place the key to position 0 (LOCK)! In several ve-
hicles the cigarette lighter socket only works, if the
ignition key is in position 1 (ACC).
5. Check the indication lamps (E) status during the
TEST phase. The three indication lamps have to light
up.
If some lamps do not light up, check the connection
and the ignition key position of the receptor car.
6. If all indication lamps light up turn the toggle switch
(F) to the position „CHARGER".
