Introduction
Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing this Function Generator MXG-9802 A or MXG-9810 A,
both of which are products built to the latest technological standard.
Construction is per VDE 0411 = EN 61010. In addition the MXG-9802 A and
MXG-9810 A are EMC-tested and therefore meet the requirements of applica-
ble national and European directives. Conformance to these has been proven;
the relevant statements and documents are lodged with hte manufanturer.
To maintain this condition and to guarantee safe operation, the user must observe
these operating instructions!!!

Intended use
• Output and display of a single voltage of up to 2 MHz max. on the MXG-9802 A
and up to 10 MHz max. on the MXG-9810 A with a maximum amplitude of 20 V pp
(peak-peak) with sine, triangle and square waveforms with adjustable symmetry.
• Measurement and display of frequencies from at least 1 Hz up to 2700 MHz max.
he maximum input amplitudes of 35 V rms into channel „A" and 3 V pp into chan-
nel „C" must never be exceeded during this. The measured voltages must be elec-
trically isolated from the AC supply.
• Measurements must not be performed under unfavourable ambient conditions.
Unfavourable ambient conditions include:
- wetness or excessive air humidity,
- dust and combustible gases, fumes or solvents,
- thunderstorms or storm conditions such as strong electrostatic fields, etc.
Any use other than the one described above can lead to damage to the product, and
can also cause hazards, such as, for example. short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product must be modified or converted! The safety instructions are to
be followed without fail !
