Switching special functions on and off

Some digital vehicles are equipped with special functions such as light and
sound effects. Just like with all decoders known from the model railway
world, these special functions can be switched on and off using the func-
tional keys of a digital center.
The present charging unit precisely features such functional keys. It will
thus allow you to switch the F0-F4 functions on and off without having to
recourse to another digital center.
ADVICE: Whenever a LED quickly flashes while the charging unit is in ope-
ration, this is a fault message. To remedy the fault, see Chapter 7 "How to
deal with problems", page 35.
Prerequisite condition: the charging unit is connected.
Switch the vehicle off.

ADVICE: When connecting the charging cable to the charging unit, make
sure you observe the polarity: the red mark on the charging cable must be
connected to the »+« port.
Insert the plug located at one end of the charging cable into the socket
