Maintaining and cleaning the Faucet

Please note that sanitary fittings require special care.
Please observe the following instructions:
Clean your fittings with clean water, mild detergent and a soft cloth or leather
only.
Do not use any anti-limescale cleaning agents, cleaning agents that contain
acid or scouring agents of any kind. Do not use any corrosive cleaning agents
or cleaning agents that contain alcohol (also on coloured surfaces) for cleaning
purposes.
Screw out the aerator (1g) at regular intervals and remove lime deposits and
any foreign bodies. Replace the aerator with a new one if it is very heavily
contaminated or damaged.
Note: Under normal circumstances the aerator (1g) can be unscrewed by
hand. If this is not the case, use a 23 mm spanner and wrap the aerator (1g) in
a thin, damp cloth, so that it is not damaged. You can also use a pipe wrench
with plastic jaws. Take care not to damage the aerator (1g).
If the care and maintenance instructions are not followed, damage to the surface
of the fitting can be expected. Claims under the warranty are excluded in this
case.

Replacing the Cartridge

A cartridge (1m) is a wear part that needs replacing according to the hardness
and / or degree of contamination of the water. This becomes evident when the
handle (1h) becomes difficult to move.
Proceed as follows to replace the cartridge (1m):
1. Shut the main water supply off. Allow the remaining water to run off.
2. Remove the hot / cold plate (1j) and unscrew the locking screw (1i) using the
Allen key (10) in an anticlockwise direction.
3. Pull the handle (1h) upwards and off.
4. Unscrew the cartridge cover ring (1k).
5. Release the cartridge securing ring (1l) beneath it with a size 30 spanner and
pull the complete cartridge (1m) out of the body (1) of the faucet.
6. Place the new cartridge (1m) into the body (1) of the faucet in exactly the
same way. Make sure that the seal is fitted properly under the cartridge (1m).
Make sure that the guides are in the corresponding holes.
