Replacing the auto-darkening Filter Cartridge

1. To replace the auto-darkening filter
cartridge unscrew the four screws from
the frame and remove the filter cartridge
frame (11).
2. Lift up the adjusting knobs from both
sides (e. g. with a small screwdriver)
and remove the nuts (5).
3. Replace the filter cartridge with an
original one of the same size and
dimension. Make sure not to damage the cables while tightening the
frame. The cables must be placed in the provided notches.
4. Assemble the welding helmet in reverse order. While putting the shade
adjusting knob (8) into the thread, turn the knob either to the 9 or to the 13.
5. Then turn the knob as far as it will go either to the left or to the right in
order to make sure the knobs are working correctly. If necessary re-adjust
the knobs.
Batteries in the auto-darkening Filter Cartridge
Attention! The batteries of the solar cell cannot be replaced. Do not open the
auto-darkening filter cartridge under any circumstances! By opening the
cartridge it will become unusable.
If the integrated lithium batteries should be defect, replace the auto-darkening
filter cartridge completely.

Cleaning and Storing

Clean the welding helmet with a lightly moistened cloth only. Do not use
aggressive chemicals for cleaning.
Do not immerse the welding helmet in liquids of any kind.
Keep the sensors and the solar cell clean at all time and wipe the parts
with a lint-free cloth.
Store the welding helmet in a dry place and protect it helmet from dirt and
dust. Do not expose the welding helmet to direct sunlight.
