10. Switching on the device/standby
 If the device is in mains operation, first set the ON/OFF mains switch on the
rear of the device to ON.
 To select the desired operating mode, set the operating mode switch to one of
the following positions:
– MUSIC – Bluetooth mode/MicroSD/USB mode
– AUX – AUX mode
– CD – CD mode
– TAPE – Cassette mode
– FM/DAB – FM and DAB radio mode
TAPE – Standby mode; cassette mode

 For mains operation, set the ON/OFF mains switch on the rear of the device to
OFF to switch off the device.
 If the device is being battery-operated, set the operating mode switch to
TAPE to switch off the device.
11. Audio functions
11.1. Volume
 Control the volume with the VOLUME /+ controller.
The volume level (e.g. U8) is briefly shown on the display.
11.2. Treble/Bass
 Adjust the treble using the TREBLE /+ controller.
 Adjust the bass using the BASS /+ controller.
The controller's middle position is the neutral position. The treble (TR6 to TR+6)
and bass (BA6 to BA+6) level is briefly shown on the display.
11.3. X-Bass
 You can also boost the bass by pressing the XBASS button. If the boost is ac-
tive, the display HBASS ON is briefly shown.
 Press the XBASS button again to deactivate bass boost. BASS disappears on
the display.
