Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunc-
tions, damage or physical injury:
 Please make sure the mains voltage available in your area
corresponds to the operating voltage stated on the type label.
 Never leave the unit unsupervised when in use. Keep it out of
reach of children or persons in need of supervision. The vacuum
cleaner is not a toy. Never point the vacuum hose towards per-
sons or animals.
 Do not attempt to use the vacuum cleaner to pick up either liquids
or burning or glowing items such as cigarettes or ashes. Do not
try to vacuum clean sharp objects, toner dust or plaster because
the dust can ignite.
 Only use the unit when the dust container and filters have been
inserted properly.
 Unplug the unit while it is not in use or when you clean it.
 Do not use the vacuum cleaner on wet surfaces or outdoors. Do
not handle or plug in/out the unit with wet hands.
 Only use the vacuum cleaner as described in this manual. Only
use original attachments and accessories.
 Do not use the vacuum cleaner, if the power cord has been
damaged. Do not use the unit, if it has been dropped, damaged
or gotten wet.
 Do not pull the power cord to unplug, but grasp the plug to
remove it from the wall outlet. Do not jam the cord in doors or pull
the cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not pinch or crimp
the power cord in any way. Keep the power cord away from hot
surfaces. Make sure that the cord does not become a tripping
hazard.
