1. Important information
Please read this manual completely and attentively before using the product for the first time. Keep this manual. It is part
of the product.
All figures and tables are to be found at the end of the manual.
1.1 Safety instructions
Caution:
Risk of injury!
Due to the detailed reproduction of the original and the intended use, this product can have peaks, edges and breakable
parts. Tools are required for installation.
Electrical hazard!
Regularly examine the transformer for damage at cables, plugs, housing etc. In case of any damage, do not use the
transformer!
Attention: The model contains an electronic respectively mechanical subassembly. It should only be opened at the
designated locations. It should not be damaged or exposed to humidity. The subassemblies mentioned above are
essential for trouble-free operation.
Risk of breakage!
Always hold the model with both hands to the housing, to prevent some of the fine detailed parts from breaking. Never
hold it by the aggregate frame or the roof (see fig. 1).
Attention: Never leave the tamping machine unattended during operation!
1.2 Using the product for its correct purpose
This product is intended:
-
For operation on a model train layout H0 scale.
-
For operation with an approved DC transformer for model trains with an output voltage of max 21 V respectively a
digital command station supplying DCC and/or Märklin Motorola (MM) such as the Viessmann Commander, items
5300, 5320.

For operation in dry rooms only.
Using the product for any other purpose is not approved and is considered incorrect. The manufacturer is not responsible
for any damage resulting from the improper use of this product.
1.3 Checking the package contents
Check the contents of the package for completeness (fig. 1 and 2):

Model of the tamping machine

Bag containing accessories and spare parts: 4 tubes, 2 hooks, 1 coupler
NEM shaft and fastening for installation on the front end of the locomotive. Detailed assembly instructions can be
found on our website, under this item number.

2. Transport and packaging
The track tamping machine is a finely detailed and sensitive model. To make sure that you can enjoy this train for a long
time, it is well packaged with many fitting parts to be mounted by yourself. We recommend storing the tamping machine
in its original packaging when not in use.
2.1 Remove the vehicle from the original packing
Please keep all parts of the packaging and this manual for later use. Only the original packaging protects the model from
transport damages. The two-part vehicle is mounted to a carrier plate. A transport lock protects the tamping unit and a
wire brace the pantograph.

Remove the styrofoam carrier from the box.

The short lateral end plates at the ends of the carrier plate need to be removed next.

Grasp the carrier plat at both ends with one hand each and pull it evenly from the styrofoam carrier.

Place the vehicle onto a soft surface either on one side or upside down.

Remove foam parts at the top of the aggregate frame ("slide") and the styrofoam part between the two sections of the
vehicle (s. fig. 3).

Remove fastening screws (3 pieces).
-
Remove transport lock for aggregate frame (s. fig. 4, red part).
