Acrylamides e.g. in blackened
or burnt pieces of bread may
cause cancer.
■ Toast bread until it is pale
or golden brown rather
than too dark.
■ Remove burnt parts.
NOTICE

Improper use of the appli-
ance can result in damage.
■ Use the appliance only in
an upright position and al-
ways with the crumb collec-
tion tray.
1. Insert the mains plug into a
properly installed socket with
earthing contact.

2. Place the slices of bread into
the toasting slots (1).
3. Use the browning control (3)
to select the desired browning
level.
The browning control can be
infinitely adjusted.
Light: Set a lower level.
Dark: Set a higher level.
To toast only one slice, set the
toasting power lower than for
two slices.
4. Push the operating lever (2)
down.
The operating indicator light of
the
"Stop" button (6) lights
up, and the appliance begins
toasting.
Once the selected browning
level is reached, the appli-
ance switches off and ejects
the toast slices upwards. The
operating indicator light of the
"Stop" button goes out.
