The chainsaw has automatic chainsaw
lubrication with an adjustable lubrica-
tion screw on the bottom.
From the factory, the screw is set to
MAX, but during normal use, we rec-
ommend adjusting the screw to the
"middle" position.
Note:
After use, there might be a bit of chain
oil dripping from the saw. This is per-
fectly normal, and it is recommended
to clean the saw for oil splashes and
sawdust after use. Place the chain saw
on an oil-absorbing surface to avoid
any oil droplets on the storage surface.
Start the chainsaw and point the blade
down towards a tree stump or similar. If
an oil stain appears on the tree stump,
the automatic chain lubrication is func-
tioning correctly. If it is not, remove the
chain and blade and clean the oil feed
hole. If this does not help, take the saw
to an authorised repair shop.
SAWING
Check each time before use that the
chainsaw is fully functional, that it
is filled with fuel and chain oil, that
the chain is sharpened and correctly
tightened, and that the chain brake is
functioning correctly.
Start the engine.
Hold the saw with both hands by the
handles (12, 16). Raise the blade up to
the working area.
Press the safety switch (13) and throttle
(17) in simultaneously. If you release
either of them, the saw will stop.
Begin sawing when the chain has
reached the desired speed.
Thin branches can be sawn with one
cut. To prevent shredding and breaking,
cut branches in several sections.
When sawing thicker branches, cut the
underside first to prevent it breaking off,
and then the upper side. Continue until
your final cut is closest to the trunk.
Seal any sawn surfaces to avoid the tree
bleeding if you are cutting trees that are
to remain there.
Use a stable saw horse when sawing
logs. Place the saw securely on the work
piece using the bark support at the front
of the saw and saw through it by tipping
the rear of the saw upwards using the
bark support as the centre of rotation.
Release the throttle immediately if the
chain gets stuck. If the chain catch-
es, causing the blade to kick back, the
chain brake will be activated by the pro-
tective shield flipping forwards. Release
the brake by pulling the shield towards
you again. Switch the engine off before
activating the chain brake.
The chain can expand when hot.
Check regularly to see if the chain
needs tightening, to avoid it coming off
the blade. If the chain is tightened fur-
