(EN) IMPORTANT! SAVE THIS INFORMATION. READ THOROUGHLY.
The bed base can be set at two different heights. Make sure that the distance from the mattress
to the top of the bed frame is never less than 200 mm in the top position or 500 mm in the
bottom position.
The maximum mattress thickness is indicated by a marking of 1 round mark (1 brown dot)
By using the original KAS mattress, you are assured of the correct distance to top edge of the
bed. It is always safest to place the bed base in the bottom position.
As soon as your baby can sit up or stand up on his/her own, the bed base must be placed in the
bottom position.
When the child is able to climb out of the bed by himself, you can remove one side o f the cot.
See the assembly instructions for further instructions.
MAINTENANCE
Wipe with a clean damp cloth. Excess water must be wiped off. Never use harsh chemicals.
Wood is a natural material, and the color will therefore vary from piece of furniture t o piece of
furniture. The color of the wood may change when the bed is exposed to sunlight. Solid wood
furniture should not be placed in rooms where the humidity fluctuates a lot, as this can cause the
wood to warp, crack or joints to loosen. Keep wooden furniture away from direct sources of heat
and cold respectively.
SECURITY
The baby bed complies with the European standard EN 716:2017 + AC:2019. The paint
complies with the European standard EN 71-3:2019 + A1:2021.
• Never place the baby cot near open flames or other strong heat sources such as electric
heaters, gas stoves, wood-burning stoves etc. Eq. due to fire hazard.
• Do not use this piece of furniture if parts are broken, torn apart or missing. Use only spare
parts approved by KAS Kopenhagen.
• Do not leave anything in the cot and do not place the cot close to anything that the child can
stand on or that could pose a choking hazard, e.g. cords, curtain cords, slats etc.
• If you leave the child unattended in the cot, you must always ensure that the removable cot
side is correctly fitted and that the screws are tightened.
• Always put only one mattress in the baby cot.
• Always use the original KAS Kopenhagen mattress, as it is adapted to the curves of the bed.
Using other mattresses can cause gaps between the mattress and the bed, where the child can
get trapped.
• Always place the baby bed on a horizontal and stable surface.
• After installation, all brackets and screws must be checked and tightened. A poorly assembled
bed and loose parts can cause the child to be crushed or otherwise injured.
• All fittings and screws must be checked regularly and tightened as necessary
