INSTRUCTION MANUAL SMART RETROFIT KIT

1. General safety

Repairs to the device may only be carried out by OPHARDT employees or OPHARDT-
authorised persons. Serious hazards may ensue if repairs are not carried out correctly.
In the event of repairs, contact OPHARDT customer service.
Mount the device in a area that is dry and protected from splashes.
This device is not a toy. Keep and use the device out of reach of children.
Only operate the device with leak-proof alkaline batteries of the same manufacturer
and type and also with the same charge level. Use only AA batteries.
Do not use the device with rechargeable batteries.
Stop using the device altogether if the batteries have leaked in the compartment.
Dispose of discharged batteries at dedicated collection points.
Never use force.
There is absolutely no need to dismantle the device. It has no repairable parts.
Never expose the device to thermal radiation or the effects of heat.

2. Safety when operating the device

Protect the device against moisture. Do not spray the device to disinfect/clean it.
Observe the cleaning instructions (item 10).
Never submerge the device in water.
Only fill the device with the relevant product.
There are no removable parts except for: battery box, battery
The device must not be cleaned with a water jet or high-pressure cleaner.
The device is not autoclavable and must not be cleaned in a dishwasher.

3. Intended use

The product is a retrofit module for SanTRAL
the fill level and battery charge fully automatically and sends these details to a higher-level
evaluation system. The unit is designed exclusively for battery-powered operation. The unit
may only be used inside buildings.

Environmental conditions:

• Never use the unit in explosive areas.
• Only use the unit in a low dust environment.
• Make sure that the unit is only used with a relative humidity of <90%
(not condensing).
• Only use the unit at room temperature.
Correct handling of retrofit unit
To ensure that the unit functions optimally at all times, observe the following:
• Only use retrofit unit in connection with genuine SanTRAL
dispenser.
• Pay careful attention to the polarity when inserting batteries.
• The retrofit unit must not be operated near radiation-emitting or statically-charged
objects.
• To safeguard the function, the retrofit unit including magnet must be installed correctly
in the dispenser.
Attention!
OPHARDT will accept no liability for damage caused by the following:
• Damage to the device from mechanical influence and surges
• M odifications to the device without the express permission of OPHARDT
• Operation in a way other than intended
