Connecting non-bluetooth devices to the Max
The following options are available for non-Bluetooth connection of audio devices.
Note:
When connecting non-Bluetooth devices the Max acts as a speaker only and hands-free / track control
functions cannot be used.
Connecting via 2 phono / RCA cable
1. Connect one end of phono cable supplied to the audio output of your sound system.
2. Connect the other end of the phono cable to the phono inputs on the Max (10. Fig1).
3. Use the Mode select button to select the phono Input mode (Power LED lit White).
Connecting via 3.5mm Stereo Jack Cable - "AuX IN"
1. Connect one end of the stereo jack cable supplied from the audio output of your sound system,
MP3 player, CD player etc.
2. Connect the other end of the stereo jack cable to the Aux 3.5mm stereo input on the Max (11. Fig1).
3. Use the Mode select button to select Aux Input mode (Power LED lit Green).
Connecting to external speaker system / PA - "AUX OUT"
We understand that you may sometimes need more speaker power than even the Max can provide.
So we have included an audio output connection to allow the speaker to be connected to even louder
sound systems.
1. Connect one end of the stereo jack cable supplied to the audio input of your stereo speaker system / PA
(Depending on your sound system you may need to use alternative cables or adaptors).
2. Connect the other end of the stereo jack cable to the AUX OUT 3.5mm stereo output on the Max (12. Fig 1).

Sound adjustment

You can enjoy the powerful sound of the Max just the way you like it by adjusting the bass and treble
controls on the rear of the speaker (15,16, Fig 1).
If you are using a Bluetooth device featuring aPTX you can enjoy CD quality sound over Bluetooth.
Remember that your Bluetooth device may also have its own EQ controls to further enhance your sound.

uSb Charging

The Max speaker has a high capacity internal battery that provides over 10 hours of playback time.
We have provided two USB ports on the rear of the Max speaker which allow USB charging of smartphones
and tablets using the built-in battery, providing up to 2.1Amp of charging power across the two USB ports.
Up to two devices can be charged simultaneously.
