The infrared heater is intended for permanent connection to a cei-
ling or wall socket.
The device is connected to the AC power supply system with the
connecting cable via a connection box on the installation side.
NOTE
The connecting cable can be extended with cable type SIHF-
J3G1.5 mm². A direct connection to the device is not possible. The
length of the connecting cable must be between 1.0 and 1.9 m.
On the installation side, an multi-pole disconnecting device with
a contact opening width of at least 3 mm must be installed in the
fixed electrical installation in accordance with the installation re-
gulations.
HEATING OPERATION
The infrared heating device is operated by direct connec-
tion by switch, by an external room thermostat or by a ra-
dio receiver in combination with a radio room thermostat.
These can be ordered as accessories (see page 8). Please
refer to the operating instructions of the respective product. .

HEATING OPERATION
Depending on the thermal insulation standard, you will need a
heating capacity of between 30 and 200 W/m² of living space. De-
signed infrared heating has a very high radiation component and
a low convective component of heating power. For safety reasons,
the surface temperature is max. approx. 120 °C; therefore,
the overall performance of the units is limited.
ETHERMA's designed infrared heating device mainly heats
so-lids and, to a small extent, the air in the room directly,
ma-king these devices ideal for additional temperature
control. To achieve the same comfortable feeling as with
convection hea-ting, the room air temperature can be lowered
by approx. 2-3 °C.
Each degree reduction can save up to
approx. 6% heating costs depending on heating behavior and
thermal insulation standard.

DANGER
Electric shocks
Damaged power supply cables can lead
to fatal injuries
1. Only use mains connection cables in
perfect condition
2. Have damaged mains connection
cables replaced by qualified personnel.
The designed infrared heating device is only switched on additio-
nally if the room is actually used, and the heat takes over to warm
up the occupants of the room. Depending on the size of the device,
the designed infrared heater needs a certain amount of time until
the operating temperature is reached. Only then does the radiation
effect come into force to its fullest extent.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
The infrared heater is designed to release its heat output via its sur-
face in the form of radiation. There are no parts on the device that
require special maintenance. We recommend using a damp cloth
to clean your infrared heater. Please do not use abrasive cleaners as
they may cause scratch marks on the surface.
CAUTION
Hot surface
Danger of burns due to hot surface.
1. Switch off the machine and let it cool
down before cleaning.
2. When cleaning the device, it must be
cold.
