Connection
• Ensure that the wires are disconnected from the power supply, and then carefully solder the
wires from the battery pack into the "VDD" (positive) (15) and "GND" (negative) terminals (16).
• To count up, connect a button to "UP +" (1) and "UP GND" (2).
• To count down, connect a button to "DOWN +" (3) and "DOWN GND" (4).
• To use the <Stop> button, connect a button between "STOP" (8) and "UP GND" (2) / "DOWN
GND" (4).
• To use the <Reset> button, connect a button between "RESET" (10) and "UP GND" (2) /
"DOWN GND" (4).
• To use the <Plus> button, connect a button between "PLUS" (11) and "UP GND" (2) / "DOWN
GND" (4).
• To use the <Set> button, connect a button between "SET" (12) and "UP GND" (2) / "DOWN
GND" (4).
• To use the <Clear> button, connect a button between "CLEAR" (19) and "UP GND" (2) /
"DOWN GND" (4).
• The counter module comes with a built-in buzzer. You can also install your own buzzer or
LED using the "BUZ -" (13) and "BUZ +" (14) connections. Ensure that the buzzer/LED is
connected in the correct polarity.
• To power the backlight using the internal voltage, connect terminals(x7) and (17) and (x8)
and (18). To use an external voltage source, connect (17) to +3 VDC and (18) to the ground.
Using the counter module
a) Measurement frequency
The normal measurement frequency is 2 Hz. A higher measurement frequency of 250 Hz is
also available. To change the measurement frequency to 250 Hz, connect button (9) to GND
(ground).
b) Setting the initial counting value
The initial counting value is used in both counting modes (count-up and count-down).
Follow the steps below to set the initial value:
• Press and hold the <Set> button for 3 seconds. The last digit will start to flash.
• Press the <Plus> button to increase the value by one digit (0 - 9).
• Press the <Set> button to go to the next digit
• Press the <Reset> button to reset all the digits to 0 (000000).
The value will be saved automatically when all six digits have been configured, and the display
will revert to the home screen.
To delete the Initial and target values (see Aufwärtszähler – Zielwert einstellen), erase the
internal memory ( see e) Interner Speicher for details).
c) Counter function
The following table provides an overview of the counter functions:

The module can only count in one direction (up or down) at the same time. Set the
count direction (see Abwärtszähler – Funktion and Aufwärtszähler – Funktion for
details).
Setting the target count-up value

• Configure the desired target value.
• Press the <Up> button to start counting up from the initial value.
- To start the count-up from 0, press and hold the <Reset> button for 3 seconds, and then
press <Up>.
• The alarm will be triggered when the target value is reached (see d) Alarm – Funktion for
details).
• To restart the counter after the alarm has been triggered, switch off the power supply and
then turn it back on.

Count-down function
• Check that you have set an initial value..
• Press the <Down> button to start the count-down from the initial value.
• The alarm will be triggered when the target value is reached (see d) Alarm – Funktion for
details).
• To restart the counter after the alarm has been triggered, switch off the power supply and
then turn it back on.
d) Alarm function
• The alarm is triggered when the counter reaches the target value. The alarm sounds for
120 seconds.
• To silence the alarm, press the <Reset> or <Stop> button.
- Terminals (5) and (6) will become logic low level and terminal (7) will become logic high
level (VDD).
e) Internal memory
Saving the initial/target values
Press the <Stop> key to save the initial value and target value (in count-up mode) to the internal
memory.
Cleaning the memory
• Turn the product off.
• Press and hold the <Clear> button, and then turn the product on. Wait until "000000" is
displayed.
• Release the <Clear> button.
• The memory is now clear.

Care and cleaning

Do not use any abrasive chemicals or solvents.
Clean the module housing using a damp antistatic cloth.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in household
waste. Always dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
