Intended use
This counter module is a DIN-sized measuring device designed for installation in power
supplies, laboratory devices and standard consoles. It has a count-up and count-down function
from 0 to 999999. The counter starts to count up or down in single steps when the UP +
counting input (1) is connected to UP GND (2) or the DOWN + counting input (3) is connected
to DOWN GND input. The module must only be operated when it is installed in suitable housing
or a device console.
This module is not CE-tested and is designed for installation in devices or a suitable housing.
The CE standards must be observed when using the device.
The module is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g.
in bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the
product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition,
improper use can cause hazards such as short circuits or fire. Read the instructions carefully
and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third parties only together with
its operating instructions.

a) General information
• This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly, as it may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unauthorized use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Always handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
may damage the product.
• Always observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which
are connected to the product.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs must be done by a technician or an
authorized repair centre.
b) Product-specific information
• Always comply with accident prevention regulations for electrical equipment when
using the product in industrial facilities.
• The supplier or manufacturer shall not be liable for issues arising due to incorrect
measurements.
• This product must not be used for medical purposes or for releasing information
to the general public.
Installation
Do not drill any additional holes or screws into the casing. When mounting the
product to a wall, ensure that you do not drill into gas/water pipes or electricity
cables.
• Make a rectangular cut-out with the following dimensions:
- DCM 240 (W x H): 68.5 x 33 mm
- DCM 320 (W x H): 45.5 x 22 mm
• Use a spirit level to ensure that the cut-out is horizontal.
• Insert the module through the hole and slide it carefully onto the front housing (not onto the
LCD). Check that the module is secure.
