DIRECTIONS FOR USE AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General notes
· Read the instructions carefully before use.
· Keep these instructions for future reference and include
these instructions if you pass on the product to third par-
ties.
· Use the product only for the intended use. Any other use
as well as modifi cations of the product have to be consi-
dered as improper use and could cause injuries or product
damages. The manufacturer will not be held responsible
for any damages resulting from such improper use.
· Not for commercial use.

Life and accident risk for toddlers and kids! To
avoid danger of suffocation, keep packing ma-
terials away from babies and children. Risk of
suffocation due to packing material. Small parts
can be swallowed! Children often underestimate
the dangers!

CAUTION
No toy! Keep the mill out of reach from children.
Directions for use
· Make sure that the battery poles point towards the right
direction. Incorrect positioning may damage the appliance.
· Do not mix new batteries with old ones or different types
of batteries.
· Use recommended battery types! Used and empty batteries
should be removed from the device.
· Do not throw batteries into fi re.
· Use only coarse salt for grinding.
· Do not make repairs on your own if the salt- and pepper
mill is defect or non-functional - dispose it as hazardous
waste!
Inserting / Changing batteries
· To open the battery compartment, turn the upper part of
the mill counterclockwise (to the right) and remove the
cover carefully.

· Insert 4x Mignon, AA, LR6, 1.5 V (not included). Be sure to
align the polarity (+/-) as indicated inside of the battery
compartment.
NOTE
NEVER dispose of old and used batteries with
your household waste! Every end user is enga-
ged to take back empty batteries. They can be
delivered free of charge to the selling point or a
local collecting point!
Filling the mill
1. Open the mill as described in
inserting/changing batteries.
2. Reattach the battery com-
partment. Make sure that the
2 tongues on bottom of the
compartment are seated in the
two grooves of the transparent
container. It is recomended to
fi ll the container only to 80%
to guarantee trouble-free grinding.
3. Reattach the battery compartment. Make sure that the
two tongues on bottom of the compartment are seated in
the two grooves of the transparent container.
4. Now insert the cover, which is initially removed, onto the
mill and lock it with a left turn.
5. The mill is now ready to use.
Milling
Press the button at the top to activate the tilt mechanism.
After turning the mill around, it will start grinding and the
light will turn on automatically. The lamp is not replaceable.
If the machine gets blocked during grinding, shake it so that
the corns in the mill become loose.
