1. Before using the mill for the first time, please read the operating instructions
carefully, keep them for later use and pass them on to third parties along with
the mill. This mill should not be used by people (including children) with limited
physical, sensory or mental capacity or a lack of experience and/or a lack
of knowledge.
2. The warranty is void if the mill is tampered with.
3. The mill is designed for private households only and may not be used for
commercial purposes.
4. Never expose the mill to direct heat.
5. Always store and use in a dry place.
6. Always keep the device and batteries away from children.
7. Make sure that you use the correct type of battery and always insert it in the
prescribed direction of polarity.
8. Only use fresh batteries for replacement and never use those with visible
damage - overheating or explosions could occur.
9. Never throw used batteries into fire. Danger of explosion!
10. The batteries for this mill are not rechargeable.
11. Remove the batteries if the mill is not used for prolonged periods of time
to avoid damage due to possible leaking batteries.
12. Never short-circuit batteries.
13. Rice can be ground to clean the mill and then brushed out dry. Only wipe the
surface with a slightly damp cloth.
14. Warning: Do not clean in the dishwasher or under running water.

Operating instructions

First use and operation

 Turn the top part anticlockwise and unlock. The triangle appears on the open
padlock symbol.
 Detach the upper part of the mill. Remove the discharge protection from the
batteries (6x 1.5 V AAA) before first use. Then replace the top part. To do this,
turn and lock the top part in a clockwise direction. The triangle appears on
the closed padlock symbol.
 The spice container has a screw top.
 Fill the spice container.
 Set to the desired coarseness using the screw on the grinder.
 The mill automatically starts grinding when it is tilted.
 Integrated LED lighting.

Battery disposal

Batteries do not belong in the household waste. As a consumer
you are legally obliged to return used batteries. You can dispose of
your old batteries at the public collection points in your community
or anywhere else where the same type of batteries are sold.
Disposing of the mill
The symbol on the product or its packaging indicates
that this product should not be treated as normal
household waste, but should be handed in at a
collection point for the recycling of electrical and
electronic equipment. For more information, contact
your local authority, the municipal waste disposal
company or the shop where you purchased the product.
