5. Start-up and use

Insert a compatible rechargeable battery by
STORCH into the device's battery compart-
ment. If the rechargeable battery does not sli-
de in easily, do not use force.
Set the switch (6) for the direction of rota-
tion to the desired position. Also set the
desired operating mode (3), drilling, screwing
or impact drilling. For screwing, also set the
desired torque (2). The device stops as soon
as the set torque is reached.
Also select the mechanical gear (4). Gear 1 gives you a low speed for working with screws
or large hole diameters. Gear 2 gives you a high speed for small hole diameters.
Temperature-dependent overload protection
When used as intended, the device cannot be overloaded. In case of excessive load or if
the permissible battery temperature is exceeded, the electronics switch off. The device
cannot be used again until the temperature has dropped back to the normal range.

6. Maintenance

Your product requires very little in terms of maintenance and care. Remove the battery
before carrying out any work on the device and when transporting and storing the device.
Keep the device and ventilation slots clean and store it in a dry and frost-free place; the
ambient temperature should not exceed 40°C.

7. Troubleshooting

Symptom

Make sure that the battery is sufficiently
charged and that it is fully inserted and
locked in place. Also check the motor ven-
tilation slots. They must be kept free and
clean at all times.
Make sure you preselected the correct tor-
que setting.
