Always wear suitable safety equipment

Clean only with the pump intake lowered.

Use a standard pH-neutral cleaning agent. For cleaning the process

equipment, observe a max. permissible water pressure of 100 kPa (1 bar)
at a distance of 3 m.
After cleaning, the process device must be allowed to dry for at least 2

hours.
Before recommissioning, the mains connection plug must be completely

dry.
Before recommissioning, check all functions for proper operation.

The pump system and the follower plate have to be moved out of the drum.

Clean the follower plate.

Use a scraper or similar tool. Avoid damage to the process seal.
If the pumped material is water-soluble or can be cleaned with an agent which is not
flammable, the pump with the follower plate and connected hose may be pre-cleaned
by means of cleaning agent circulation. In order to do so, place the pump with follower plate
over an sufficiently large container with cleaning agent. When the motor is switched on, the
pump with follower plate lowers automatically. In order to avoid that the follower plate lowers
on the bottom of the container and the cleaning agent circulation is interrupted, place an
appropriate stop below the follower plate or adjust the stop (1).
For variants with control unit and end position stop the illuminated push-button "end position"
(see page 45) might have to be actuated that the pump motor runs.
Attention – bring the stop in its previous position after cleaning.
For a thorough cleaning of all components the pump has to be disassembled (see operating
instructions of pump).
Attention – pump with follower plate will lower automatically when the motor is switched on.

Prior to dismantling the drum emptying system, disconnect the power supply and the
compressed-air supply.
>
Dismount the material hose.
Caution - pumped material may exit.
>
Separate the pump from the follower plate by means of the clamp connection.
Caution - pumped material may exit.
>
Disassemble the follower plate.
>
Separate the pump from the process device.
>
Protect the motor and the control unit against the cleaning agent.
