3.2. Preparations for operation

POSITIONING THE APPLIANCE
The maximum ambient temperature and relative humidity limits not to be exceeded
are +40°C and 85% RH, respectively. Position the appliance where good air
circulation is ensured. Maintain a minimum clearance of 10 cm from all sides of the
appliance. Keep the appliance away from any hot surfaces. Always operate the
appliance on a level, firm, clean, fireproof, and dry surface and out of the reach of
children and individuals with reduced mental, sensory and intellectual capacities.
Position the appliance where the mains plug can be reached at any time. Make sure
that the mains power ratings match the data on the rating plate!
INSTALLING THE APPLIANCE
1. Remove all parts from the box (Fig. 1).
2. Mount the telescopic column in the base. Place the base on the floor or
another flat surface and press the column tube down while turning it clockwise
until resistance is felt (Fig. 2).
3. Turn the column and base assembly upside down and install the spokes (5 pcs.)
by inserting each one into the base until full stop (Fig. 3).
4. Secure the spokes to the base by bolting down the retaining plate (Fig. 4 & 4A).
5. Put the base down on the floor.
6. DO NOT extend the top telescopic tube out yet!
7. Mount the dryer bonnet on the telescopic column. Insert the top telescopic
tube into the mounting hole located in the back of the dryer bonnet.
8. Thread the dryer bonnet by approx. 5 full turns while holding the top
telescopic tube firmly (Fig. 5A).
9. Attempt to pull up the dryer bonnet a bit to make sure it is secured to the top
telescopic tube and the base.
10. The front guard can be tilted up or down as required. The back guard is fixed
and not adjustable.
11. The appliance is ready for use.
12. CAUTION! Lower the front guard all the way to stop or the dryer cannot be
turned on.
