Connecting the device to a computer
You can connect the device to a computer via the USB-C interface on the side of the device
using the included USB cable. Open the protective rubber cover on the side of the device
and connect the device to a free USB port of the computer using the included USB-C cable
(USB-C plug orientation is irrelevant). The computer will automatically recognise the device.
A menu will appear on the display, enabling you to select whether the device is to be used as
a mass storage device (only with an integrated memory card) or as a video source (camera).
Use the arrow buttons to select the desired option and confirm the selection with the OK button.
The device is charged when connected to the USB port.
Troubleshooting
Error
The device does not switch on.
The device does not respond to any
button presses.
Poor image quality
Any repairs other than those described above must be carried out by an approved
specialist. If you have any questions about handling the device, do not hesitate to
contact our technical support.
Cleaning
Use a clean, lint-free, antistatic and slightly damp cleaning cloth to clean the device and its
display.
Cleaning the lens
Remove loose particles with clean compressed air and wipe off remaining residues with a
fine lens brush. Clean the surface of the lens using a lens cleaning cloth or a clean, soft and
lint-free cloth.
The cloth can be moistened with water or a lens cleaning solution to remove fingerprints and
other residues.
Do not use any acidic, alcoholic or other solvents or rough, linty cloth to clean the lens.
Avoid applying too much pressure when cleaning the lens.
Possible cause?
Is the battery inserted?
The battery is empty. Allow the battery to charge
via the USB interface for at least 12 hours.
The operating system has frozen or hung up.
Please reset the device. To do so, briefly press the
power button (3) while keeping the infrared button
(6) pressed. The device will power off, and you can
turn it on again as usual.
Ensure the IR function is disabled when the lighting
conditions are good (e.g. during daylight). Check
the image colour (the display is black and white
when the IR function is active).
Increase the IR emitter intensity in IR mode. You
can thus expand the IR illumination range.
Adjust the manual focus based on the distance of
an observed object. You can adjust it by turning the
camera lens.
Disposal
a) Product
This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on the
EU market. This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of as
unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose
of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and accumulators,
which are not enclosed by the WEEE, as well as lamps that can be removed from
the WEEE in a non-destructive manner, must be removed by end users from the
WEEE in a non-destructive manner before it is handed over to a collection point.
Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are legally obliged to provide free take-back
of waste. Conrad provides the following return options free of charge (more details on our
website):
in our Conrad offices

at the Conrad collection points

at the collection points of public waste management authorities or the collection points set

up by manufacturers or distributors within the meaning of the ElektroG
End users are responsible for deleting personal data from the WEEE to be disposed of.
It should be noted that different obligations about the return or recycling of WEEE may apply in
countries outside of Germany.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
Remove batteries/rechargeable batteries, if any, and dispose of them separately from the
product. According to the Battery Directive, end users are legally obliged to return all spent
batteries/rechargeable batteries; they must not be disposed of in the normal household waste.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with
this symbol to indicate that disposal in household waste is forbidden. The abbrevi-
ations for heavy metals in batteries are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead
(name on (rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our
stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold. You thus fulfil your statutory obligations
and contribute to environmental protection.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries that are disposed of should be protected against short circuit
and their exposed terminals should be covered completely with insulating tape before disposal.
Even empty batteries/rechargeable batteries can contain residual energy that may cause them
to swell, burst, catch fire or explode in the event of a short circuit.
