ELECTRICAL SAFETY
1. Ensure the rated voltage shown on the rating label corresponds with
the voltage of the power supply.
2. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged power cord or plug,
when the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
3. Protect the power cord against damages. Do not let it hang over sharp
edges, do not squeeze or bend it. Keep the power cord away from
hot surfaces and open flames and ensure that nobody can trip over it.
4. Do not open the housing under any circumstances. Do not insert fin-
gers or foreign objects in any opening of the appliance and do not
obstruct the air vents.
5. Protect the appliance against heat. Do not place close to open
flames or heat sources such as stoves or heating appliances.
OPERATION
FIRST USE

Place the appliance on an even, stable, heat-resistant and dry surface.

Set the appliance to the highest browning level and operate it without food
inside until it stops automatically. This operation will remove residues from the
manufacturing process.

Select type of bread:
Bagel: For baguettes and bagels
White: For bread made with white flour or predominantly white
Brown: For bread with a heavier texture (e.g., wholemeal, rye or bran
bread)
Grain: For bread with seeds or fruit with hulls
Fruit: For sweet bread and fruit bread
Browning lever:
• Push down to start operation.
• During operation, briefly raise the browning lever to check the
browning of your bread without interrupting the toasting cycle.
Release the lever quickly. It goes down by itself.
Cancel the toasting, reheating or defrosting process
NOTES
• First select the toasting mode, then the browning level (not necessary for
defrosting) and then the type of bread. The appliance adapts automatically
and ensures a uniform browning.
• When inserting baguette slices and bagels, position the cut side towards the
front of the appliance (see symbol present on either side of the slot).
• When the appliance has not been operated for 2 minutes, it switches to stand-
by mode. To exit this mode, turn the dial.
