Intended Use
Sensor and reagent cartridge for use with the IL GEM Premier 4000
analyzer.
Storage Requirement
STORE at 15º-25º C
DO NOT FREEZE
Do not open cartridge protective wrapper until ready to use.
Instructions for Use
To insert a GEM Premier 4000 PAK cartridge:
1. Unpack the cartridge from the protective wrapper. Ensure that
the cartridge is dry and within expiration date prior to use.
2. Remove plastic backing from cartridge by pulling tab.
3. Press the Open Door button. The door will release. Fully open
the door to the left.
Note: The cartridge must be at 15-25ºC prior to use.
4. Position the cartridge with the gray sampling area facing
forward. Push the cartridge in until you feel resistance.
Note: The cartridge cannot be inserted all the way into the
compartment by hand. A small lip of the cartridge will rest on the
door.

Gebrauchsanleitung
Einsetzen einer GEM Premier 4000 PAK Kassette:
1. Entfernen Sie die Schutzfolie. Stellen Sie sicher, dass
die Kassette völlig trocken ist und kontrollieren Sie das
Verfallsdatum.
2. Entfernen Sie den Plastikschutzdeckel der Kassette.
3. Betätigen Sie die Taste Kassettenfach öffnen. Die Verriegelung
wird freigegeben. Der Zugang lässt sich nun nach rechts öffnen.
Hinweis: Die Kassette vor dem Einsetzen auf 15°-25°C
temperieren.
4. Setzen Sie die Kassette vorwärts ein und schieben Sie diese
nun in das Kassettenfach, bis Sie einen Widerstand spüren.

Instrucciones de uso
Para introducir un cartucho GEM Premier 4000 PAK:
1. Desenvolver el cartucho de su envoltorio de protección.
Asegurarse que el cartucho está seco y dentro de la fecha de
caducidad antes de usarlo.
2. Retirar la tapa de plástico del cartucho tirando de la lengüeta.
3. Presionar el mando de apertura de la puerta. La puerta quedará
liberada. Abrir totalmente la puerta hacia la izquierda. Nota: El
cartucho debe estar a 15 – 25º C antes de ser usado.
4. Posicionar el cartucho con el área de muestreo gris hacia
delante. Empujar el cartucho hacia adentro hasta notar
resistencia.
Nota: El cartucho no puede ser introducido totalmente en el
compartimiento con la mano. Un pequeño borde del cartucho
quedará en la puerta.

5. Guide the system door to the right to close it and move the
cartridge into the final position. The door will lock and the warm-
up cycle will take approximately 40 minutes. Samples cannot be
analyzed during warm-up.
Note: Do not force door closed. If resistance is met when closing the
door, please remove the cartridge and restart the process.
6. Run appropriate GEM CVP (Calibration Valuation Product)
levels prior to analyzing patient samples.
Refer to the GEM Premier 4000 Operator's Manual or Operator's
Guide for complete instructions.

5. Schließen Sie nun das Fach wieder, damit bringen Sie die
Kassette in die richtige Position. Der Zugang wird gesperrt und
die Aufwärmphase beginnt. Diese dauert ungefähr 40 Minuten,
während dieser Zeit können keine Proben analysiert werden.
Hinweis: Das Kassettenfach bitte nicht mit Gewalt schließen. Wenn
Sie großen Widerstand spüren, nehmen Sie die Kassette noch
einmal heraus und setzen sie erneut ein.
6. Vermessen Sie anschließend die verschiedenen Level GEM
CVP Material (Calibration Valuation Product) bevor Sie mit der
Analyse von Patientenproben beginnen.
