■ Do not position or oper-
ate the appliance near or
beneath curtains or other
fl ammable materials.
■ Do not cover the appli-
ance, e.g. with cloths. Do
not place any fl ammable
or easily ignited objects on
top of the appliance while
in use.
■ Keep fl ammable liquids and
vapours away from the ap-
pliance.
■ Never leave the appliance
unattended while in use.
■ The appliance is not intend-
ed for use with an external
time switch or a separate
remote control system.
Bread can catch fi re. Flam-
mable objects placed imme-
diately next to the appliance
may ignite easily!
■ Do not place aluminium foil
over the bread roll attach-
ment.
■ Regularly empty the crumb
collection tray to reduce
the risk of a fi re.
Safety
■ Never place bread rolls di-
rectly onto the toasting
slot.
■ Do not toast bread and
crisp up bread rolls at the
same time.

Acrylamide may be carcino-
genic. Acrylamide is produced
when starch is exposed to ex-
cessive heat, e.g. toast, bread.
■ Toast bread until it is pale or
golden brown rather than
letting it become too dark.
■ Remove burnt parts.
