Thank you for purchasing the SafeMi SHS-05 smoke detector.
Please read this manual carefully before using it.
SafeMi SHS-05 smoke detectors provide effective protection against fire, thanks to their quick
esponse to emerging smoke. The device may also react to hot steam or cigarette smoke. Check
local building and fire regulations prior to use. This smoke detector is suitable for use in
residential premises, but also in cars and caravans. It is not intended for applications other than
those mentioned in this manual.
In order to ensure the greatest possible protection against the risk of fire, it is recommended to
install one smoke detector per room (up to 40 m2). Smoke detectors in particular should be found
in the living room, hallway, every bedroom and in any room where there is a risk of an electrical
short circuit or fire. There should be at least one smoke detector on each level of the apartment
/ building to provide basic protection.
Smoke detectors should be mounted in the central part of the ceiling of the room. Wall mounting
is allowed, but not lower than 60 cm from the highest point of the room. The minimum distance
from the wall is 30 cm.
