Do not use rechargeable batteries. They have a too low voltage!

Remove the batteries from the battery compartment when you are not using the remote control for more than
a month. Make sure that the battery compartment is always closed when the battery is inserted!

Initial start up (Fig.3):
1. Insert the batteries as described in the chapter "Inserting or changing the batteries".
2. To fill the spice mill, unscrew the glass jar from the motor housing by turning it anticlockwise. Place one foot
on the scale to activate the device.
3. To ensure that the electric spice grinder can grind the food without problems, fill it to a maximum of just
below the rim.
4. Then screw the glass jar back onto the motor housing.
5. The electric spice mill is now ready for use.
6. To activate, tilt the spice mill with the opening downwards. The motor is activated by the tilting movement
and the ground material is ground.
