PROFESSIONAL STEP LADDERS
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Only ever use Eurostairs step ladders for minor work and for a short duration.
When climbing the step ladders, always hold onto it with at least one hand. Make sure you hold on to the step
ladder properly when mounting and dismounting the step ladder. Always do so facing the step ladder.
Wear suitable shoes so as to prevent yourself from slipping or otherwise hurting your feet.
Do not spend long periods of time on end on the step ladder without taking frequent rest in-between.
Any tools you use while on the step ladder must be lightweight and easy to handle.
Never attempt to work at a distance further than one arm' s length away from the ladder, and do not attempt
any activities that will exert sideways force on the ladder, such as drilling in brick, so as to prevent it
from possibly tipping over.
Always have both of your feet on the same step of the step ladder while working. Hold onto the step ladder
with at least one hand, or take safety precautions if the work does not permit you to do so.
Never mount the step ladder with more than one person at a time.
Never stand on the ladder' s support bracket, and never climb past the third step from the top on double step
ladders without support brackets.
Only ever climb single step ladders from the correct side. Never step onto the bar in the back! The correct
side is the side with the horizontal steps. A double step ladder can be climbed from either side.
Never use a step ladder to gain access to a higher level.
Do not exceed the step ladder' s load bearing capacity of 150 kg.
