5. Assembly

Warning
Improper installation or use of the support bars can cause them to fall off the vehicle and cause an accident or
serious personal injury.

Before fitting the support bars, check that your vehicle's roof rails have a width of 55 mm (2.16
inches).

Never fit the support bars to a roof rail that is narrower or wider.

Always make sure that all bolts and brackets are properly fitted and correctly tightened before
starting to drive and at every break during a long journey. Check the system and tighten the bolts if
necessary.

When using poorer roads or hilly and mountainous terrain, check all connections more frequently,
such as during breaks during a long journey.

Always mount special brackets for items such as bicycles, skis, surfboards, etc. properly.

Never use straps or other fasteners that are damaged, insufficiently strong or unsuitable for securing
objects to the support bars.

Follow the instructions supplied with the poles with great care and observe all WARNINGS.
The support bars are marked on the underside with a sticker for front and rear.
The support bars must be fitted so that the sticker is on the left-hand side of the vehicle.
Caution
It is essential to observe these markings when fitting the bearing bars to the railing!
Note
There are two triangles on the inside of each roof rail. The support bars may only be attached in the marked
areas. All support feet must engage between the corresponding triangles. (a= 25mm; b = 750mm)
The support bars must not be fastened in the area of the railing feet.
Clean the roof rail in the area of the support bar before fitting.
