At the end of the cycle, the unit will turn itself off automatically and the light will go out.
Leave the unit to cool for at least 5 minutes. Remove the plug from the socket.
Take all the parts out of the unit and pour the remaining water away.
Please note: The Steriliser must be left to cool for at least 15 minutes between each use to allow the thermostat to reset.
Before each use:
Items being sterilised must always be thoroughly washed and free from all residues of food. Only clean items can
be effectively sterilised.
Place exactly 130 ml of tap water into the Steriliser body. To measure the exact amount, use a baby bottle or a measuring
jug.
If you pour in less than 130 ml of water, the Steriliser will not produce enough steam to effectively sterilise all items.
If you use more than 130 ml of water, it lengthens the process unnecessarily.
Please be careful when placing items in the Steriliser to ensure that the steam is able to circulate around all surfaces
and that any condensation can drain off easily.
Sterilising baby bottles, drinking cups and accessories:
This Steriliser is able to sterilise up to 7 wide-neck bottles or 9 standard baby bottles or drinking cups. Any combination
of wide-neck and standard baby bottles is also possible. The upper basket can be used to wash accessories, such as bottle
teats, teat rings, sealing discs or soothers on the top rack of your dishwasher. After washing, you can simply place the bas-
ket in the unit to sterilise the items. Please check, first of all, whether the items have been cleaned thoroughly in the dishwasher
and that all residues of baby milk have been washed away.
Wash your baby bottles and accessories. Place exactly 130 ml of tap water into the Steriliser body.
Place the bottle basket in the sterilising unit. Then place up to 7 wide-neck or 9 standard baby bottles upside down in the
bottle basket.
Now put the upper basket onto the unit. You can load your clean accessories, such as bottle teats etc., into the upper bas-
ket. Make sure that the upper basket is sitting directly on the Steriliser body and that the upper basket's lid is tightly sealed.
Now insert the plug into the socket.
Switch the on/off button to 'on' (the light should go on) to start the sterilising cycle.
At the end of the cycle, the unit will turn itself off automatically and the light will go out.
The length of the sterilisation process can be easily varied depending on the load.
Leave the unit to cool with the lid closed for at least 5 minutes and remove the plug from the socket.
Please wash your hands thoroughly.
Depending on whether you only need the accessories or whether you also need the bottles, open up either just the lid of
the upper basket or remove the upper basket completely.
Take all the items out of the unit and pour the remaining water away. The sterile items must be used immediately or re-
sterilised later.
With the enclosed tongs, you can remove the sterile teats and pull them through the teat rings.
Provided the upper basket is left on the unit and the lid remains unopened, all items in the Steriliser will remain sterile for
up to 3 hours. Please note: The Steriliser must be left to cool for at least 15 minutes between each use to allow the ther-
mostat to reset.
Cleaning and care instructions:
Always remove the plug from the socket before cleaning the unit. Clean the unit only when it is cool. Clean the unit, basket, upper
basket and the lid after each use with a damp cloth in order to avoid lime scale. Dry all parts. Descale the unit regularly. Before
doing so, remove the plug from the socket. If your unit is in need of repair, on no account try to take the unit apart. Please contact
the address provided in these instructions.
Please note: Do not use any harsh cleaning, abrasive or scouring agent to clean the Steriliser. If the bottle basket or upper basket
are washed together with badly stained items (e.g. by tomato sauce, or similar), the stains may remain on the plastic surfaces.
Nevertheless, you can carry on sterilising effectively with this unit.
Descaling:
For hygiene reasons and to reduce lime scale build-up as much as possible, we recommend that you clean the Steriliser, bottle
basket, upper basket and the lid with a damp cloth after every use. Dry all parts afterwards.
If these instructions are not followed, and the unit is not cleaned and dried after every use, after some time lime scale will settle
on the hotplate at the base of the Steriliser (depending on the hardness of the tap water used, this forms in different amounts
and over varying lengths of time). We recommend descaling the Steriliser regularly, at least every 2 weeks, to ensure it continues
to work effectively. Lime scale will not only lead to a considerable deterioration in sterilisation, but it may also impair the operation
of your Steriliser.
Descaling for light lime scale build-up:
Remove the bottle basket from the Steriliser. Mix 100ml of warm water with 100ml of vinegar and pour it into the Steriliser body.
Allow it to stand in the unit for approx. 30 minutes and then pour the water away. Rinse the unit thoroughly and wipe it with a
damp cloth.
For heavy scaling: Please use a standard descaler, following the respective manufacturer's instructions for use.
