The SUPAIR helmets are equipped with an adjustable headband to be
tightened or loosened using a knob. The helmet size can easily be switch
from S to L. (54 to 59 cm).
To benefit from its full protection, the helmet must be carefully chosen and
adjusted. It is done by tightening or loosening the knob at the back of the
shell to precisely fit the circumference of your head. The chin strap must
then be adjusted and tightened enough not to slide over your chin, but
be loose enough not to impede movements of the neck. If you lend your
helmet, make sure to re-adjust the headband to fit the new wearer.
Positioning :
It is very important for your helmet to be correctly placed over your head,
and for the fastening strap to be securely locked. To ensure maximum pro-
tection, the helmet must be properly situated. Too far back and close to the
neck will not guarantee optimum protection.
To check for a proper fitting of your helmet and its closing strap, try to re-
move it with both hands by pulling it ; you should barely be able to move it
around or above the top your head. Always make sure for the chin strap to
still be in working order and properly locked afterward.
Regarding helmets for children, it is necessary for an adult to ALWAYS check
and make sure the chin strap is closed and locked in place.
