During retraction, when the hose twists, it is necessary to extend the hose to full
length then allow retracting, so to smooth the hose, let it evenly retract back to the
reel.

6. MAINTENANCE

To prolong the life of the hose reel, we advise you to consider the following
maintenance prescriptions.
• Do not immerse the reel in water to clean. If hose is very dirty, please clean it
before retraction.
• Do not expose the reel to sunlight for a long time (max. 45ºC), which will affect the
life of the reel. It is suggested to mount the reel in a sheltered place.
• Do not leave the reel outdoors when it is very cold (below 5ºC). Under this
condition, the hose may be less flexible and difficult to retract.
• After use, please turn off the water, and open the nozzle to release the pressure.
• The hose cannot touch any chemical or substance, such as acetone, white spirits,
lactic acid etc. And do not use these chemicals to clean the hose.
• Please drain the water from the pipe in frozen weather or before storing the reel.

7. MALFUNCTION

If the hose cannot be retracted after using for a long time, maybe it is the spring that
is fatigued. So the spring should be re-tightened by 0,5 – 1 turns as follows:
1. Discharge the right cover (Fig. 6).
2. Unscrew the 4 screws on the two fixing plates of shafts and discharge the fixing
plate (Fig. 7, 8).
3. Discharge the left cover (Fig. 9).
4. Put the left cover upturned and hold the hose reel. Using a professional tool to fix
the flute part on the tightening cover. Unscrew the 4 screws on the tightening
cover and tighten the cover anti-clockwise for 0,5 – 1 turns (count from when the
hose stop near the window) (Fig. 10).
5. Holding the tool after finishing the adjustment, and fix the screws in place, then
replace the cover (Fig. 9).
6. Replace two fixing plates of shafts, fix the screws in place and then replace the
right cover (Fig. 6).
