6.3 VALVE

The controller can manage 2- or 3-way valves of
the ON/OFF type (i.e. completely open or com-
pletely closed) or modulating valves (the degree
of valve opening may range between 0% and
100%).
6.3.1 ON/OFF valve
The (2- or 3-way) valve opening is controlled ac-
cording to the operating set-point and air tem-
perature set-point

6.3.2 Modulating valve
The (2- or 3-way) valve opening is controlled ac-
cording to the operating set-point and air tem-
perature set-point
The regulation logic for opening conforms to
the diagrams below.

6.4 ELECTRICAL HEATING ELEMENTS

6.4.1 Start up
If the heating element's presence is set in ad-
vance from the configuration parameter and its
use is enabled by means of a button in the USER
MENU, it will be activated on a call from the ther-
mostat according to the room temperature:

6.3.3 Valve enabling signal from water
probe
The checking of water temperature to enable
valve opening is a function that concerns only
configurations with 3-way valves and heating
element. In such configurations the water tem-
perature will be checked in the following cases:
Ū Heating with heating element: operating the
heating element will force the fan to switch
on; it is therefore necessary to prevent exces-
sively cold water from passing through the
unit.
Ū Post-ventilation due to switching off of the
heating element: maintained until the set
time has elapsed, even if the operating mode
is changed. During post-ventilation the wa-
ter temperature enabling signal will coincide
with the one seen for fan operation.
